Bio

The online name that I tend to go by is "Sophist". I'm female, 27, and am a late-diagnosed aspie (age 25). I've received my Bachelors in Psychology and will be going on to graduate school for a Ph.D. in Anatomy/Neurobiology. My focal areas of research include: the autism spectrum, minicolumnar development in conditions such as autism and development throughout the lifespan, evolutionary encephalization, paleoanthropology, and feedback loops between the immune, endocrine, and central nervous systems.

Aside from my interest in the neurosciences and medicine, I'm also involved/interested in art (including drawing, painting, and digital photography), poetry, reading, etc. I also adore British comedy series.

I tend to spend a lot of time on the computer (yay, nerds). I own and help run an autism-related discussion forum called Gestalt. It's a forum for people on the Autism Spectrum, their family and friends, and basically anyone interested in ASCs.
